Ondoy

This typhoon was one of the worst to hit the Philippines. All have been affected, even the middle class strata was severly damaged. Houses were devastated, crops were left worthless, it even crash down homes and lives.

Ondoy, as it hit the Philippines, brings devastation to Greater Manila Area and its neighboring regions. Rizal, one of the most affected area, was almost vanished in floods. Even the subdivisions in Cainta, which were home for the well-known people, were severely affected. My hometown, Binangonan, was almost drowned with the overflowing lakewater. Places like Laguna and Quezon also suffered from the wrath of Ondoy.

But the catastophy brought by the hurricane didn't bring down the Filipinos' heart. They all faced it with courage and bravery. Some even risked their lives just to save others. Those people who were not affected lend their helping hand, giving their excess foods and clothings. They really gave what they can to atleast lessen the burden that Ondoy have brought forth to their heart.

Truly, even at these greatest downfall, Filipinos still show their spirit, never giving up with the challenge of life. And as I see it, typhoon Ondoy though brought severe damage in the Philippines, it also reminded us who really our neighbors are. Filipinos are for Filipinos, and only them can truly understand what their heart really needs.
